Types of Construction Schedules
Construction is the term that means to form objects, systems, and buildings. This is an act of building something. It covers the process of sketching, planning, designing, and building. Construction also covers repair and maintenance. Therefore there are three main types of construction:
- Residential construction: This type of construction means building homes or apartments. The constructed buildings will be used only for residential purposes.
- Non-Residential Construction: In short, this type means constructing buildings for commercial use. This means that these buildings will only be used for business purposes—for example, hotels, Offices, Institutes, etc.
- Infrastructure construction: It covers the construction and maintenance of designs, roads, bridges, dams, etc. It typically means to form a strong structure. A strong structure will hold reliability for years.
- Industrial construction: When you hear the word industrial construction, then don’t about the homes, or roads just think bigger. It requires specially skilled persons to perform the tasks.
A construction schedule is a pattern of developing something. The constructor will get the details from the party. He/she will make a pattern to start the work. The tasks will be assigned to all the team members. Therefore, the team will start the work after getting a road map of the output.
A well-managed construction schedule can manage labor, materials, equipment, and cost. It allows the contractor to complete the construction on time and on- budget. Construction schedules help to identify and manage the activities without conflicts.
